In concert halls from California to Florida, from Texas to Maine, Tomáseen Foley’s A Celtic Christmas takes us back to Ireland of the 1950s, to a night before Christmas, to a place where the motor car, the television, and the telephone were little more than unlikely rumors, and to a time when the neighbors would gather at each others’ homes, bringing with them not only their traditional musical instruments, but also their songs, their dances, their laughter, and -- always, ever and always, -- their stories.

Every year, Sutherlin puts together a Light Parade to bring light to the community just before Christmas. It is our gift, our way of giving back, and bringing the Christmas Holiday to Sutherlin.

The Winter Festival brings hundreds of people downtown  Myrtle Creek to enjoy free chili, hot cider and coffee.  Visitors can also enjoy the City Christmas tree and live Nativity scene and can shop at businesses that stay open late during the community event.  When the parade vehicles arrive, they park along Main Street and some side streets where they can viewed up close and visitors can take photographs and chat with the drivers.  The evening ends with the award of cash prizes in six categories and for "Best of Show".Link to Myrtle Creek Chamber of Commerce

On December 14, Bandon lights up with the annual Holiday Light Parade. Everyone is invited to Light Up! Your vehicle, your pet, yourself! No registration or fees are required. Line up begins at 5:00 p.m. Parade begins at 5:30 p.m.

Our 106-year-old bridge will be dressed in greenery and lights and decked with a dozen decorated trees, with a raffle to take a very special one home. Mega bake sale. Gift shopping. Santa and Mrs. Claus. Free hot beverages. Proceeds support the MBHS Scholarship Program.

Enjoy a delicious hot breakfast with holly old St. Nick! Participants receive photo opportunities with Santa, kids holiday craft and a yummy breakfast. The event is FREE! Seating is very limited. Registration opens Ocotober 25th

Join the City of Central Point for our annual Community Christmas on Saturday December 7th. The parade will start at 5:00pm on Pine Street, with the tree lighting to follow in the parking lot of City Hall and the Library. We will have fun activities for the whole family! Santa will be on site to visit with the kids and we will have Kona Ice with FREE hot cocoa!

Klamath Chorale: Making Spirits Bright Holiday Concert The Klamath Chorale is a community choir of 90+ voices. They aim to create and share their love of music with the Klamath Basin.

When you’ve finished your post-Thanksgiving “Black Friday” shopping, plan to head over to Hanley Farm for Southern Oregon Historical Society’s annual wreath making workshop. To make your own Holiday Wreath, wreath making kits will provide all you’ll need: grapevine or fruitwood bases, evergreens, berries, and trimmings such as dried hydrangeas and pinecones - all from Hanley Farm vines and the yards of volunteers. Wires, clippers, and ribbon will also be available. For that extra holiday “pizzazz,” by all means, bring your own special ribbon, trimming, and ornaments!

An additional treat - Santa will be there! Here’s an opportunity for children to whisper their secrets into Santa’s ear. And, one of Santa’s elves will have a candy cane for each child. OH! Be sure to bring your camera to take a photo with Santa and our Big Red Christmas truck.

Santa’s Arrival and Grand Illumination begin at 5pm Ashland Ashland Public Library on Friday, November 29th. We will welcome youth and family groups to welcome Santa (his reindeer and elves!) downtown where he will greet the crowd and light the town from the Brickroom balcony, creating magic for this holiday season. The town will come alive with over one million lights all season long! 

Every weekend between Thanksgiving and Christmas, the Chamber has coordinated carolers to stroll and sing downtown.

Come to Talent, Oregon for our Thanksgiving run! We will be hosting a food drive for the SOU food bank and a portion of the proceeds will go to SOR Student Runners Programs which include Shoes for Kids (provides shoes to Jr. High and High School athletes who would like to participate in Cross Country and Track but cannot afford proper running shoes), KidsRunFree (provides free entry to all SOR races for kids 18 & under), and XC Project (provides timing support for schools during cross country season).

Participants will receive a custom race bib and finishers medal. No age group awards.

Wild Winter Wonderland is back!

Join us during for our three-day after-hours event for a great time. We’ve added more than 5,000 additional lights compared to 2022, and we’re going to light up the night.

Don’t forget to check out the gingerbread-theme area along Bindi’s Critter Creek, and check out how we’re decorating the Discovery Farm.

Don’t miss your chance to get your pictures with Santa and one of our Animal Ambassadors. Make sure to stop in the Rotary Pavilion to grab a complimentary cup of hot cocoa, cider or (kid-friendly) egg nog and a candy cane.

Smitty’s and WallFlour Bakery food trucks will be out here to add to the festivities.

Did we mention Santa and Mrs. Claus? How about the Grinch and maybe a new surprise guest this year?

From Dec. 15-17,  Santa will be front and center at Wildlife Images from 4 p.m.- 7 p.m. each day of the event as we celebrate out Wild Winter Wonderland. The park will be filled with lights, and Critter Creek will look like a gingerbread house. as you enjoy winter in the park.

Watch out for the Grinch. You never know what he’ll be up to.

The Co-op's Gingerbread Cookie decorating party is back!

Join us in the classroom for our annual cookie celebration. We will have gingerbread people and shapes available with all the fixings to create your masterpiece.

In an effort to give back, we would like to encourage each participant to bring a nonperishable donation as an optional entry fee. Contributions will be donated to the Ashland Emergency Food Bank.

*This event is free, but we ask participants to reserve their space and arrive in your chosen time slot. This will help us keep things moving for the next group.

The most festive fun run of the year is near!  The Medford Ugly Sweater 5K presented by West Orthodontics is scheduled for Saturday December 9th, at 9:00am sharp.  100% of the proceeds from your registration goes to the kids at the Jackson County Foster Parent Association.  What better way to give back to your community than to sport your ugly sweater while running, walking or dancing your way through this festive 5k? Don’t waste any time preparing your sweaters, we can’t wait to see you this December!

We HIGHLY encourage all participants to pick up their packets on Friday. For those who cannot make packet pick-up on Friday, we will hold race day pick-up from 7:45AM - 8:30AM. Don’t cut it too close!

What to Bring?

Bring your race confirmation with you (having it on your phone works too!) and a form of an I.D.

If you are picking up a packet for a friend or your team, make sure you they have forwarded you their race confirmation. We encourage teams to have one person pick up!

Be sure to have your race bib attached to the front of your ugly sweater and visible for our start-line checkers to see.

This is a holiday fun run and will not be timed. We encourage those who are running (and still competing against themselves) to move towards the front and the walkers more towards the back of the line.

As you come into the finish line, grab your complimentary water bottle then head over to get your breakfast, and get your ugly sweater photographed in at the West Orthodontics Photo Booth!
