Theresa Gong has been a studio potter in Montana since 1979. She studied at the University of California majoring in Sociology and Environmental Studies but it was her travel to Asia that kindled her interest in Ceramics. Working mainly in wheel-thrown porcelain her focus is on functional, one-of-a-kind pottery. She works in high and midrange fired porcelain decorated with a variety of sgraffito, incising, and carving techniques. Her designs — usually with flora, fish, or animal motifs—cover the entire surface of her pottery. Her themes are typically in nature, myth, and fantasy and often inspiring from the rich legacy and the enduring grace of Chinese ceramics.

Theresa will have her exhibit up from 10am to 3pm and will give a formal 30-minute talk at 1pm. On the patio there will be two sessions of two tables playing "Mahjong Unveiled". If you’ve ever been curious to learn or watch, now is your time!
